Abstract :Objective: The purpose of this research, postgraduate studies in universities in Turkey related to the concept
of vendor selection is to provide information about the general state of the thesis.
Materials and Methods: In this context, 123 theses in the Higher Education Institution Thesis Center were
examined. The collected data are classified by bibliometric analysis technique. The parameters used in the
research are the subject of the thesis, the year of publication, the language of publication, the title of the
advisors, the distribution of theses according to universities and institutes. In addition, the techniques used in
supplier selection and the main selection criteria and numbers were analyzed and included in the analysis. In
addition, it was examined whether the purpose, method and result for the study were included in the summary
parts of the thesis, whether there was a comparison with the literature in the conclusion part of the thesis, and
whether there were recommendations to academicians for future studies.
Results: According to the results of the research, most of the postgraduate theses written on supplier selection
consist of master theses conducted under the consultancy of academicians with the title of doctoral lecturer. In
addition, it has been observed that the majority of theses written in Science Industry, Industrial Engineering
Departments and Social Sciences Institute Business Departments. The university with the most studies was written by Gazi University with 10 theses. The most used criteria in supplier selection is quality and the
preferred method is AHP.
